Hi, I'm Tricia!

I am honored to be joining Harbor Midwifery, bringing both my professional experience and a mother’s heart to the families I serve. My life is rooted in Jesus, and I carry with me the joy of 25 years of marriage and 16 years of homeschooling — having graduated my two oldest. I’m currently homeschooling a senior, while my youngest thrives in a private Christian school as a first grader.

Before midwifery, I served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and volunteered during my time off as an EMT. Later, as a young mom, I worked alongside a Richmond pediatrician as her physician’s assistant. Those experiences shaped my love for both urgent care and long-term family support.

My own motherhood journey deeply influenced my calling. I had my three oldest children in the hospital, and while my births weren’t terrible, there were moments I didn’t want to repeat. During my second birth, I even told my labor and delivery nurse that if I ever had a second life, I would want to help women have babies. When the time came for my youngest, I knew I needed something different. I birthed with a midwife in Charlottesville and my dear friend, the owner of New Life Midwifery. That experience completely transformed the way I understood birth and propelled me into midwifery.

I began my professional journey in 2020 as the office manager at New Life Midwifery, eventually stepping fully into my calling as a Certified Professional Midwife, licensed through the Virginia State Board of Medicine. My own breastfeeding struggles inspired me to become a Certified Lactation Counselor, and today I am passionate about empowering women through functional, whole-body care that emphasizes prevention, support, and God’s beautiful design.

My training includes breech birth education through Breech Without Borders, and I have had the privilege of catching breech babies. I recently completed my Craniosacral Therapy certification, expanding the hands-on care I can offer. I am also passionate about homeopathy, with over 500 hours of training, and love providing families with safe, gentle remedies to support the body’s natural healing process. Offering craniosacral therapy and homeopathy allows me to meet families with more options—whether adjusting babies early in life to prevent long-term issues or providing natural support for balance and recovery.

Beyond midwifery, I enjoy making tinctures, gardening, and traveling whenever I can.

It is one of the greatest honors of my life to walk alongside women in birth—a season of strength, transformation, and abundant grace.
